Rounding machines
Rounding machines are machines used for manufacturing rounded logs and posts from raw wood. They
consist of a two-mode pass-through mechanism, which includes pressing feed gear rollers, a separately
rotating head with knives, and receiving smooth rollers.
Principle of operation:
The log is fed thick end first through rotating rollers to a head (cutter) with knives set to a specific diameter. It
then passes through the head, emerging as a finished cylindrical shape and is caught by receiving rollers.
The main advantages of this equipment are its high speed and quality of processing. The processing speed depends on the quality and curvature of the wood, ranging from 6 to 25 meters per minute. Produced
diameters: 40-350mm.
Field of application:
Fencing, support for fruit trees, shoreline reinforcement, wooden house and building production, furniture
manufacturing.
